As you'll probably have noticed by surfing the site and following our news on social networks, MATT Racing isn't the type to give you a long historical speech about the brand, citing the many dates and meetings that led us to where we are now...

We at MATT Racing are.... Well, actually, we're just like you!

We're not models, but we are passionate bikers and racers, and like all of you, we're not rolling in dough when it comes to equipping ourselves. So, faced with our waspish waistlines (or bumblebees for some...) and empty pockets, we set ourselves the challenge of creating a range of motorcycle leather gear based on the principle that everyone should be able to equip themselves, whatever their morphology and budget, with the sole aim of riding safely! The first sketch, the first design, days and nights of design, testing and head-scratching, and our range of combardes was born! We were THRILLED! But at MATT Racing, we love a challenge, and we're bursting with ideas to meet it. I've always been attracted to the idea of being a motorcycle racer, me, a little biker who needed I don't know how many bends to get to my knees. But never mind! In 2014 (yes, I know, we said no dates, but this is the point of no return!) I had the opportunity to see behind the scenes a Bol d'Or rider, and at 3am in the stands (yes, I know, I wasn't in full possession of my mental faculties, and maybe that's what got the better of me...) I said to myself, "Why not me? Today, I have many answers to this question, now that it's been chosen, which could make me turn back, but at the time, I told myself that, as a thirty-something father, I was going to try LE BOL D'OR!

And one thing leading to another (or rather, from setbacks to disappointments...) we managed to make this dream come true by taking part in the Bol d'Or in 2018 and 2019, but before that we had taken part in the 24h of Barcelona in 2017, 2018 and 2019 with very good results. Something to be proud of! All these challenges have enabled us to get to know and understand the needs of the bikers we are and the racers we have become. As a result, our racing suits are constantly evolving in line with these experiences.

So much for the MATT Racing story!

And for those still wondering about the MATT Racing name, nothing is more important to us than family, so what better than our children to inspire our greatest successes!
